UK4-VN

As part of our updates, we have identified a hardware issue on this server. Although it’s not currently affecting services, we believe that the hardware is likely to fail in the near future. As a result, we have made the decision to migrate to new hardware. In order to do this without significant downtime, we will switchover to a new server but this will result in a change of IP address. If you are unable to connect, please check to make sure that you’re not connecting to the old IP. In most cases, customers use the hostname so this will not be affected.

The issue with uk4-vn is now resolved. We have moved the server to a new location.

Unfortunately this has resulted in a permanent IP change. We have updated the DNS so if you use the hostname (uk4-vn.mixstream.net) in your source and links then you don’t need to make any changes.

If you use the IP address (87.117.202.97) in your source or stream links/players then you will need to change it to uk4-vn.mixstream.net or the new IP which is 94.76.213.164

We have experienced major issues today with UK4-VN

This was a result of changing to new hardware, the new machine was set up but when the IP was transferred over it became unreachable.

We have set up a temporary IP for the server and so that you don’t need to change your settings we have updated the A Records accordingly so that it can still be accessed from uk4-vn.mixstream.net

If you use the IP to stream or link to your server then please change it to uk4-vn.mixstream.net as we hope to revert back to the original IP once the issue is resolved.

Please note that it may take a little time for your server to be available again due to DNS caching. If you are still unable to access the server then please try this: https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html

We are about to start the process of replacing the hardware for uk4-vn. This will result in some downtime.

The server reinstall is complete but as there were some disk error messages during the reinstall, we have decided to replace the hard disk.

This will unfortunately result in some more downtime for approx 30 minutes, but this is to ensure stability in the future as it would need replacing eventually.

We are performing scheduled work on uk3-vn and uk4-vn this morning. As this requires a OS reinstall, there will be some downtime on each server lasting from 30-60 minutes.
