The billing and support area will be temporarily unavailable shortly due to an update that needs to be made. You may also find that the design of the pages changes for a while, this is nothing to be concerned about.
I am pleased to announce that MixStream now supports streaming to Blackberry users with no need for additional plugins or complicated instructions – your listeners can now tune in on their Blackberry at the click of a link.
To test the system, please open your Blackberry browser and navigate to this page. When you click on the following link, it will open up the Blackberry player and play a 24k Shoutcast stream:
http://usa1-pn.mixstream.net/8208.sdp
This service is now available on all Premium Shoutcast accounts and will soon be rolled out to Value Shoutcast and possibly free services.
To access your Blackberry stream, please use the following link format:
http://[SERVER ID].mixstream.net/[PORT].sdp
I am also looking in to adding more features for mobile users as mobile technology is becoming more advanced and a lot of station owners are keen on making it as easy as possible to provide streaming content to their users.
s5 will need reinstalling as it it not booting up after crashing. We expect to recover all data from the server so accounts should not be lost. This will be done in the next few hours.
The new website has finally been launched along with our new 100% SLA on premium network streaming services.
There shouldn’t be any but there is is a possibility of the odd bug on the new site, if you find any or the new ordering system doesn’t work for you then please get in touch and we’ll look in to that.
I’m pleased to announce that all premium network Shoutcast servers have been added to the new control panel at http://streampanel.mixstream.net/
If you have Shoutcast servers on the premium network, then you can log in with the same details that you use for your billing account. You will now see all of your servers under a single control panel.
The overall aim of the new control panel is to bring all streaming services ‘under one roof’ so that there are not multiple panels to log in to for customers that are hosted on different value/premium servers.
There are some limitations:
If you find any problems with the new panel then please open a support ticket.
Our datacentre will be performing maintenance on the servers that host our websites and databases which involves physically moving the servers from one location to another. This will not affect any services that we offer, only our websites and control panels.
Websites and support & billing system – 15th May.
The support and billing system will be unavailable as well as the premium network Shoutcast/AutoDJ control panel.
Database server – 16th May.
This will affect the value network Shoutcast control panels.
We currently have no estimated time of the outages.
UPDATE: There was a typo on the original post which should read Websites and support & billing system – 18th May.
I’m pleased to announce that all value network Shoutcast servers have been added to the new control panel at http://streampanel.mixstream.net/
If you have Shoutcast servers on the value network, then you can log in with the same details that you use for your billing account. You will now see all of your servers under a single control panel.
