  • Nameserver issue resolved

There was a short outage of our nameservers earlier which affected some services. The issue is now resolved so everything is back to normal now, although it may take a little time for some people to see their websites again due to the delay in DNS.

  • changes to billing

Due to suggestions from some customers, we have made some minor changes to the way in which we bill customers:

Invoices generated 14 days prior to the due date, giving customers more notice (especially for customers using bank transfer, mail in payment and other non-instant payment methods)

Invoice reminders changed

First invoice reminder: 1 day before due
First invoice overdue notice: 1 day overdue
Second invoice overdue notice: 6 days overdue (1 day before suspension)
Third invoice overdue notice: 27 days overdue (1 day before termination)

Unpaid services will continue to be suspended once they are 7 days overdue, and terminated after 28 days.

  • Database server outage

We are currently experiencing an outage with our database server which runs the billing, support and control panels. We are working to get service back to normal asap. This doesn’t affect customer accounts.

UPDATE: The server was back up and running shortly after and having checked the server everything is back to normal and stable. We expect no more outages.

  • Improvements made to our Flash player

Due to requests from several customers, we have now added a HTML5 fallback player to the free Flash player we provide from http://mixstream.net/streaming/create-a-flash-radio-player.php

This means that you don’t need to add any extra players to your website for mobile devices which generally don’t support Flash.

  • Support times may be delayed

We are currently experiencing intermittent outages with our office internet connection. This may cause a slight delay in replying to support tickets.

Please be assured that this does not have a direct impact on customer services as none of the services we provide are run from the connection that we use in the office.

We hope to have everything back to normal soon, thank you for your patience.

  • Sorry about the outage notices!

Some of you subscribed for updates may have received some outage reports emails over the last hour or so. The problem only actually lasted for a few minutes, but as it was related to the DNS servers, some of the emails that come through to the status site got delayed and are still being delivered – this is despite the fact that the actual problem was at 2:45PM and lasted for less than 5 minutes.

Apologies if you’ve received more emails than normal.

  • update to domain problems

I posted an announcement this morning regarding the problem with our domains. This turns out to have been caused by a problem with the DNS servers which was resolved shortly before 11AM this morning and it caused all of our domains to point to a domain parking service. This didn’t affect everyone accessing the websites, but the majority of people affected should now be able to access services as normal.

A small number of users are still unable to access our websites, this is because it takes time for DNS changes/updates to resolve to all locations around the internet. If you can’t access the website still then please try again later.

Unfortunately, we cannot give an estimate as to how long it will take – as it should already be working for you. It all depends on your ISP and how often they cache DNS results.

Thank you for your patience.
